Usually when this happens, you receive a personal message from the moderator who removed it, explaining why.

I never received a message from anyone.
The topic was "How do you right a Cat that has flipped over?"
Along with a video of some poor souls being rescued.
I also asked how do you keep this from happening.
I just don't want to put myself and others in harms way when I can learn how to keep it from happening.

Are you sure it actually posted? Sometimes my posts just completely disappear on some forums... usually when I've been having a slow internet day...
You've looked on the upper right part of the toolbar on this forum for "private messages"?

I did post it. Then edited the post so it was there.
The post would now be in the moderators lounge for discussion.

Re: I posted a question with a video which was deleted seconds after

I've looked for rules on posting YT video's myself, but couldn't find any.
Doesn't mean there aren't any, just that I read over them

I once posted a reply with a YT video upon which I got a forum message: post held for moderation.

It was never posted on the forum and I haven't a clue why.

My solution is to simply avoid posting anything but text here.

There's a thread in the multi hull section with many Youtube videos in it though.

Here and the thread before it. http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...-148849-5.html

So I assumed it was OK to post them.

Re: I posted a question with a video which was deleted seconds after

Try a search. The capsize thing has been pretty thoroughly discussed many times before.

Basically - it happens much more often in races, where the boats are being pushed hard, and flying a hull is often SOP. Usually the boat can be towed inshore and righted.

If you manage to capsize a cruising cat a long way offshore, you're going to need rescuing, and the boat will likely be lost.

How to avoid it? Sail sensibly. Cruising boats need some serious mishandling to get them upside down.

Newer users that have less then 15 posts and post external links to anything will have their post moderated automatically. That means one of the mods has to look at it, check the link, and approve it. The Mods are all from around the world and it can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 6 hours for a mod to pop in to clear moderated posts.

This is done as we get tons O spam on the board. After 15 postings a new user no longer has his linked posts moderated.

You video should be live, BTW.

Gee SC, you got to be so nice. I thought you should string him along for at least a little while before telling him he was just too young.
Happened to me back before you were born...
Honest :P
