Largest Sailing Yacht Seized: Pool, Helipad!

What the media is calling the world's largest sailing yacht has been seized because the owner is supposedly Russian. Has underwater windows, large pool, submarine, etc. $600 million dollar value.

No one knows the reason the chemical company owner did not sail off to Algeria, that is, if he is really the owner. All these rich Russians just leaving their boats sitting around in NATO countries for the past two weeks is quite a mystery.

Any prudent person from a "western" country will keep his boat far away from Caribbean countries like Venezuela or Nicaragua. Likewise, Russians and anybody from an allied nation would likely want to be in pro-Russia waters.

There are claims there will be seizures in international waters. Just in case you think your boat is too small, even the poorest people from Russia and their active allies getting blocked from their financial accounts. Are you really so sure, if things deteriorate, some Cuban or Myanmar/Burma low level official will not seize a 45' on the high seas? Better safe than sorry.

Yachts on the high seas are turning off their AIS tracking system to avoid seizure on the high seas because sanctions made seizures in international waters "legal".

Russia already started retaliating by putting out an international arrest warrants for American citizens that have never been to Russia for funding riots, though I did not see Russia or allied countries seizing yachts yet.
