Looking for a working yard close to Fort lauderdale

Hi all,
I have a friend who is looking for a working yard close to fort lauderdale. (I don't think there are very many near there and certainly not cheap?) Thought I would reach out to the forum for suggestions... He's looking at 6 months of dry storage and at least 1-2 months of a working yard before he will drop it wet. (47' monohull) Does anyone have some inexpensive solutions?

Inexpensive/Boat/Fort Lauderdale do not get into the same book, much less the same sentence.

I am not sure what you mean by a "working yard." Do you mena DIY? Or just a yard that does repairs?

In either case, you might try Playboy Marine in Dania Beach. Other than that, I don't have options for you. The real issue you have with that plan is the 6 months of dry storage. In a busy yard, their space is the valuable asset, so the longer you stay, the more expensive it gets.

Consider going further afield to safe a BUNCH of money. Port Canaveral might have choices for you at greatly reduced prices.
