Looking for broker recommendations

Hello all.

Debating about selling our sailboat. Currently in Grenada, but wondering about possible a Florida/Annapolis etc, broker.
Not sure that a local Grenadian broker would have the same reach off island. The boat should list above 400k and a new owner almost for sure would come from North America or Europe.

Happy to hear thoughts and experiences. Likely not interested is listing it myself as I cannot get access to the big listing sites not being a broker.

Thanks

Re: Looking for broker recommendations

Your broker needs to be where the boat is, no?l How else will people be able to get aboard and get questions answered? Any broker with access to Yachtworld will be able to reach your buyer, so that levels the playing field for them. Where is a buyer going to be looking for boats, though? Probably not Grenada. People go there on vacation, after they've bought their boat - they already have one and don't need another. Florida is easy to get to from Europe or anywhere in the US. So is Washington/BWI. You might want to scope out brokers in Annapolis and Miami and see if there is one you like who seems to deal a lot with the kind of boat you have. (Which you have not mentioned, btw.) Other posters will have more detailed suggestions.

Re: Looking for broker recommendations

No, the broker can be anywhere.

For a decent priced boat, a decent broker will accompany a buyer to Grenada no problem. That’s what we did.

Really, just looking for good broker referrals.

Thanks

Re: Looking for broker recommendations

I could not recommend Clint from Whiteaker Yacht Sales in Tampa Fl enough. He went above and beyond for us as our buyers broker.
