Magic Carpet around the world

Hi looking for information on Chris and Karen Ennors trip around the world on Magic Carpet in the 1990s we believe.

We have recently purchased Magic Carpet in Australia and would love to discover, celebrate, and keep the Crowther 34 cat (with outboard), history alive and well as we believe it should be.

Any info would be very much appreciated.

Thanks
John and Sam

Re: Magic Carpet around the world

Spent some time with them many years ago. They experienced a horrific event when they were shot at by Somali pirates on route to Suez, injuring Karen in the thigh. Magic Carpet sustained a number of bullet holes but survived relatively unscathed.

If kept light which Chris always did Magic Carpet is a fast cat.

Chris if I remember used to write articles for several mags before Youtube even existed. You might find some info in back issues. Try The Coastal Passage.

Enjoy the ride

Stop looking for bullet holes and enjoy the sailing
Afraid my memory about the details has long faded. It all happened pre-internet, at least as we know it today. I would suggest researching sites of magazines that were around for stories in back issues Chris was quite a prolific writer.
