Marine How-To and Gratitude at Thanksgiving

Hi All,

For those of you who are big fans of Marine How-To http://www.marinehowto.com, you may or may not know that Rodd Collins had quite a severe stroke in September. You can read about it here:

Marine How-To - Anybody Heard from Them Recenty?
https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...il-255650.html

This is just a general notification to all of the Forum. If you follow the discussion in the thread above, the general concensus has been to help support Rodd, keep the website going and defray his rehab expenses, donations can be made through the Marine How-To website.

If Rodd has ever offered you helpful info, fixes and/or solving the mystery of a particular boat-related puzzle, please pause this Thanksgiving week and donate.

Gratefully,
LittleWing77

*I have no connection to Rodd - don't even know him (and Thanksgiving for us was a month ago).

A perfect Thanksgiving post to a truly generous man who deserves our prayers.
And a huge manatee wave to the class act woman who posted it.
So very well done.

Sorry for the double-post, but somehow my intended bump didn't actually bump...

Update and thank-you from Rod (which can also be seen on the Marine How-To website): https://marinehowto.com/

Rod would like to thank all of you who have made a donation! He would do it himself but, he is still unable to use a computer effectively.

To say he is is elated by your support would be an understatement!

Re: Marine How-To and Gratitude at Thanksgiving

Another year has passed. Rod is home from the rehab hospital, has sold his boat and slowly begun to write Marine How-To articles again.

As you might imagine, his rehab accumulated a ridiculous amount of medical bills, so once again, if his advice or his website: https://marinehowto.com/ has ever provided you with help, please consider donating. You can find a link on the Marine How-To website.

Once again, I have no connection to Rod or anyone in his family. Never spoken with him; I'm sure he doesn't even know who I am...

Fair Winds, All,
LittleWing77

P.S. Oh! And Happy Thanksgiving to our American friends, South of 49N.

Yes, welcome back, and good to hear about Rod. I do like his site, I've learned a lot from it.

Hey Lee! I owe you an email. Hope you're well.

Yeah, I'll never forget how selfless Rod has been in offering his knowledge, a PRICELESS resource, to the sailing community - for years now.

I feel it's the least we can do to help defray some of his enormous medical and rehab expenses. I think he says on his website that the amount is approaching $800,000, which is obscene, as far as I'm concerned.

Please donate to Rod if you're able.
Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone
