Hi All
Sorry to not keep you in the picture. I didn't think it would cause such a stir. As soon as there is any news I will let you all know. Can't really say any more than that at the moment but thanks for all the support.

Of course you caused a stir. You have many friends in this community already and they are are concerned about you, your family and your crew. But we understand that you need to hold your peace for now. Take your time and do what needs to be done. We will still be here rooting for you!

If he has lawyered up, as he should, then an attorney would likely advise him not to post about this matter.

Re: Non payment for delivery crew

This situation is probably working its way through the system by now.

Just a suggestion which might sound odd. If any one was to face a situation like this.
As vessel crew who have not been paid you have the right to the first lien on the vessel. Only salvage comes prior to crew wages.

This might surprise you for a suggestion.
The Seaman's mission. They are often contacted by and help usually third world crews get paid.
The other suggestion is the ITF. International Transportation Federation.
primarily because they have the contacts to get it done.
They do this quite often. usually on behalf of third world crews who have not been paid by ship owners.
Can't say I've heard of them being asked for help by yacht crew. But I'm sure they would be happy to help.

The entire US and Canadian coast is covered by both.

Re: Non payment for delivery crew

Hi Folks

Just thought I would update you on this thread.
I had to hire an attorney in Honolulu and I ended up filing a lien with the US Coast Guard. Long story short. I have now been paid and the lien has been removed. This ended up costing the owners considerably more than they owed me when I completed the contracted delivery.
This was all sorted out by the lady owner who turned out to be a very honorable Lady which is a lot more than I can say about the other party. Turns out she was conned out of a lot of money by this Guy. Obviously I cant put his name up here which is a real shame because this seems to be a pass time of his. Ripping Ladies off.
