I sailed (actually motored since there is very little wind) that way last year. What are you specifically interested in?

I did mainland Ecuador to Manzanillo in 2006. Completely under sail, except motoring in/out of anchorages in the Galapagos. You can either fight your way along the coast, probably mostly motoring. Or you can leave Panama, do whatever you need to at the time to make westing. Remember, your proposed trip is way more west than north. When you get due south of your goal in Mexico, turn north. When you run out of wind or patience, then motor. It took me about 2 weeks sailing to get within 300 miles of the Mexican coast. It took almost another 2 weeks to finally arrive. I’d decided that I was going to practice and get good at light wind sailing. I did, but I wouldn’t do it again.
