Phone Communication In The Caribbean

Hello

We will be sailing in the Caribbean later this year and wondered how to handle phone communication.

We will be purchasing an Iphone 6 and a package from verizon while we are in the States.

Is there a carrier that can be used in the Caribbean? Or do we need sim cards for each island?

get a cheap unlocked phone and get sim cards when you get there. Roaming charges will kill you if you try to use your phone from the US.
