Raymarine connectors

Good morning everyone. I'm new to this site but am hoping to get some feed back about Raymarines 'waterproof' ST cable connections. I have had 2 fail in a simple EV100 that was purchased new 2 years ago. The first failure was at the sensor located on deck where one of the internal pins broke off. This was replaced under warranty. Now a 2nd pin has done the same thing at a ST cable connection while located in a dry locker which has been blamed on water incursion. Their advertising says 'waterproof'. Their tech is saying 'splash proof'. Is anyone else having the same problems?
