Sailing from Curaçao to Dominican Republic

Easy peasy. Did Curaçao to St Thomas earlier this year and getting east made it a slog. Should have a better AWA to DR.

Some traffic south headed to Panama the fairly quiet. Would expect as you cross the shipping lanes between Hispaniola and Panama things may get hectic.

I will not drone on about weather. Need either a weather router feeding you updates, Iridium GO, or competent shore contact and sat system to feed you updates.

If you need a delivery Capt—— I know a guy[emoji41]

Re: Sailing from Curaçao to Dominican Republic

I did Curaçao to windward passage, Ile a vache, in 4 nights 5 days on my Dufour 50 with one reef and full genoa. One tack. Never saw a boat or ship or plane, Went like a freight train. Lots of fun. In your case to Dominican Republic you will need to heed traffic to and from Panama. Keep a good watch!

Did Curacao to Bonaire and then set sail to St.Croix. 4 days and nights 3 days sailing took me to Porto Rico then motored into the NE wind for a day to get to St Croix. You should have no issue with one sail set all the way to DR.
Good luck
