Scam

Warning of a Probable Scam Attempt
We’re selling our boat and one of the responses we got to our website (86tayanav42.com) was from someone who identified as Micheal Grenall. He said he liked the boat and wanted to know where to send the money. No inspection. No survey. Too good to be true! On the advice of a financial consultant and my attorney, we opened a new account in a new bank with no connection to our existing accounts and wrote up a very comprehensive sales contract. We emailed that to Grenall and received no acknowledgement. Neither were any funds sent to the new account. Clearly, he had no bona fide interest in the boat, only phishing for financial information. Fair warning!

Re: Scam

This is a well known scam. They send you more then the sale price to cover ....... whatever is credible, shipping, insurance etc. They ask you to send back the extra money after you paid for expenses. Then they pay with very credible bank papers. The bank credits your account. You send back the surplus money as agreed. After 4 to 6 weeks the bank finds out the credible paper are forged. Bank debits your account for the same amount you were credited. Result: You did send them real money for scam papers. You still have to pay back your bank.
