Seasonal Slips near Port Jefferson/Mount Sinai recommendations

Hi Guys, any leads or suggestions what are our options on the seasonal slips near Port Jeff area? We are currently on a waiting list for both Port Jeff and Mount Sinai. Unfortunately as we hear waiting list is close to 10 years long. We still have a way to go We are planning to upgrade and get a bigger boat. We used to trailer our smaller boat, but it won't be an option with bigger one. Any other options, besides the Danfords which is extremely pricey and we know there's transient spots that can be reserved weekly (which also adds up). Was wondering if there's a site where private owners are renting slips either to backyard or any other leads. Greatly appreciated for your advice!
