Used to chat with him at SA before I got banned for being irreverent..
He had decided to step back from the site as a Mod just before that happened, however he was over the moon and extremely happy with life.

@sailorboy1, ya never know. Someone may tell him we're writing about him. It happens. The international sailing community has good bush telegraph.

Re: Some may remember MarkJ

Glad to hear he and Marjorie are still*doing well, and having fun. I’ve always liked Mark, and got along well with him both here, and over at SN where he was the lead admin and moderator for quite a while. He had a strong vision for SN, and was really helping it grow, but he had a disagreement with the owners, who showed him the door. Last I chatted with him, he was happy with his decision, and more importantly, living life to the fullest.

Good on him.

Re: Some may remember MarkJ

Dang, I thought the 19 year age gap between my wife and me was something, but I see that it is small change as compared to the above.

A lot of people don't see how such a large age gap can work, but I'm here to tell you it can and does.
I'm as happy as I've ever been and so is she, so kudo's to the happy couple.
