Lautoka has a coral man made reef across the front of the beach about a half mile out,
It was unmarked on my GPS, I nearly run over it,
I didnt see it when I was standing on the beach a week before as the tide was in,

Hi all, dropped it off in Lautoka at a mates pace as I am off on a nearby island for the next couple of days. I'll update shortly, and still not dead from it exploding.

Zunibal "Tuna satellite buoy". Complex bit of technology. Must be worth a bit.

Actually, my mistake, it's a "Satlink ELB3010 DSL" Tuna buoy. Exact down to the switch positions, DSL Barcode sticker etc. Amazing what you can find on the Internet.

Re: What is this - found in Fiji.

This has turned out to be fascinating. So, can anyone tell me can I pack in my luggage (not carry on, in the hold) or do I have to ship it back to Australia. Also, will ring Trimarine the parent company, later to see if they want it back (I'll then decide if I actually give it back)

Re: What is this - found in Fiji.

About a 1 min phone call to Trimarine in the US and they said I could keep it. Will ship it back to Australia to be safe. Thanks everyone for the info.
