Yachtworld pop up ad

Anyone else as annoyed as me with the pop up ad on yachtworld?
Sometimes it is so bad it almost makes the website unusable

Do you mean the one that completely redirects the page?

The $1000 give away. Answer 3 very simple questions to qualify. Just for fun, I answered all 3 wrong and I still qualified to win.

Not positive, but I think the pop ups only happen if you are on an iPad.

I don't know Chuck. I have to disable some security parameters in Firefox to be able to log-in here. But still no yachtworld pop-ups, or other ads blocking the page.

I get it on an iPhone with safari, an iPad with chrome and a windows laptop with chrome. It’s annoying as hell.

The only way I've found to avoid it is to go into settings for Safari and block cookies.

Re: Yachtworld pop up ad

On my Mac laptop I run Adblock and Ghostery. This blocks virtually all unwanted ads, including annoying popups. Makes this place, and indeed the whole Web, a lot more enjoyable to use.

Ad Block plus, it's free and it works well.

I understand if you buy a boat listed, you get a code to block it.

Re: Yachtworld pop up ad

Dear forum readers,

Let's not forget ads are a way to keep the site running.
But it annoyed me too specially because it's made with total out of date intellect, it doesn't check your login name with the newsletter db etc.

Therefore get the Adblock plugin (download it from your
browsers plugin page).
-As soon as the add shows.
-Put your mouse pointer on the add.
-Right klick and choose block add, and confirm.
- Do this for each layer of the add (the add itself then background etc etc)
-Don't worry if you wreck parts of the page just right klick and you can restore it.
-And at last happy reading.

P.s. by dooing so the publisher can be sure you saw his add, so please admin do't ban me for this.
