Anemometer wind vane connection

I picked this up used and am trying to determine brand and compatibility with current displays.

Any idea the make and if it is worth installing.

Thanks.

You might compare it to some of these

That link didn't work. I went to defender and only saw ray marine full price units. Are their hidden deals somewhere?

Thanks.

Re: Anemometer wind vane connection

Don't you have the display for it? If so, there is your answer. If not, it probably isn't going to work with other displays. It certainly is not putting out NMEA data.

It looks very similar to an old Kenyon wind system I had once.

Re: Anemometer wind vane connection

The mount base and plug look like IMI Combi or very early Autohelm , mid late 70s. I just removed all my stuff. you can't get parts or service for them any more. The only thing that still functioned on our boat was depth and speed.
