Anyone near Fort Myers, Tampa or FortlLauderdale/Miami that has a Raymarine MFD/Plott

This is such a mad dash. I can’t bleed out my steering system because I can’t get the auto pilot working. I need a hand.

Is there anyone either in Fort Myers, Tampa, Marco Island, Fort Lauderdale, etc. that has a newish Raymarine MFD or chart plotter that wouldn’t mind adding my p70 autopilot control head to the network to push it a software update?

Was getting already to put the hydraulic fluid in and do the system and found the p70 head is too old to work with the new ACU.

Really stuck here. The marine places are talking about December sometime just to do a software update on the bench.

The 150 ACU. P70 control head. EV1 puck.

I really don’t want to do this because I don’t want one, but I might have to just buy an MFD.

Just take the plunge all the way into the Raymarine pool I guess.

I prefer to use a tablet to do my navigating.

This really is outside of the budget that I had going here. And the budget is a beast. Too much

I think the small 7" Axioms can be had for ~$600 without charts

I broke down and got the 9 inch. It was on sale. Plus a free transducer.

Loaded with the lighthouse charts.

But most importantly, now I can control everything in my Raymarine garden.

And the auto pilot is now fixed. Wow. That took all day. About 2 1/2 hours of that was driving. But everything is fixed.

And I think I just didn’t buy an MFD because I’m too cheap. Now that I was forced to, I kind of like it. It’s not bad.

So I am a day late and quite a few dollars short. But tomorrow, we can fill and bleed the hydraulic steering system. A pretty big moment. The steering upgrade was really important. I don’t think it would have sailed well with the old steering system.
