Low Batt issues solved. I direct wired the autohelm to the batteries and it worked without issue. The installer wired it to a circuit panel with several breakers to radio, nav station and etc. I found that if none of the other items are powered on then the autohelm works fine. Next project is to rewire thru an isolated circuit breaker.

One issue that does come up is sailing thru waters with lots of traffic, if the rudder moves back and forth due to wave action the unit will bleep and sometimes goes to standby - maybe due to my helm being so slippery due the cable change.
