Autopilot

Hi I have a Tartan 3700 that is used primarily to cruise inland waters on the west coast. I have a full suite of garmin electronics however, the garmin autopilots are over the top expensive. I'm considering a raymarine ev 100 wheel pilot. I understand that my boats displacement is 15550 lbs 16500 loaded. Wondering if anyone has installed a wheel pilot on a boat similar and has it performed well. The boat will not be going offshore. Thanks
