Re: Autopilot control, Solid state relays

Hi I also have a raymarine X5 smart pilot with a hydraulic cylinder . The X5 cannot push more then 10 amps and the pumps requires up to 25 so the H bridge is interesting, I would like to get a precise circuit drawing with part numbers so i can buy and build. I am not an electronic guy so, take me by the hand, I am actually stock in panama without pilot since i cannot proceed to Learning phase of the X5.
Is the Crydom DP4R60D20 a complete thing? where can we buy it?

Digikey has them in stock (https://www.digikey.com/en/products/...R60D20/2690832), as does Mouser. They are expensive. There's a used on ebay right now if you want to experiment.

Complete is relative. It includes all the electronics. You will need mounting hardware, wire terminations, and a mating connector for the control connection. It will work better and last longer if mounted to some sort of heat sink, such as a thick sheet of aluminum, with grease between the ssr and the heat sink.
