Autopilot wanted in UK

I had an Autohelm analogue 3000 wheel pilot. I still have the motor and drive bits. The all-in-one compass/computer is no longer of value. I'm trying to build a replacement but that's a long project. Meanwhile, if anyone has a head unit and computer for something like an ST4000, or any other make for that matter, I'd be interested. I want something that will will drive my existing wheel drive motor - it's very low current, under 5A. As you might gather, I'm looking for a bargain - I've seen secondhand units around for 100s of pounds/dollars and that's not what I'm after.

I only want something that will hold a simple course - no need to interface with anything else.

I'm in Devon, by the way. A bit less stormy today.

Thanks

Andrew

Hi Andrew

You missed a few bits recently on E-bay, it never ceases to amaze me just what people put on there to sell and that applies to boat spares, unfortunetly they sometimes are not listed correctly so have a good look.

autopilots for boats | eBay

Obviously another source is Boat jumbles and there are a few down your way BUT know your prices before you go!

Good Luck
