Interesting - I usually have the reverse problem. I can't update via SD card, but via the Internet works. This was the case with my previous and current boat. I use a Mac and I've always suspected that's the problem.

Can anyone comment on the LH4 feature upgrades for sailboats? I see lots of fishing and powerboat features but not a lot for the wind warriors. And I have a functional LH3 install so weighing the benefits against the potential hassle. I don’t use radar or sonar and have a hybrid network, Seatalk ng for Axiom 9 & wheel pilot and N2K for B&G wind/DST/GPS. (Used a Maretron N2K field connector to splice the two backbone cables together - so far, so good!).

I did the upgrade but havent sailed it yet to offer an opinion there.
A lot of new product support which i don’t yet own. There is a home page option to add snazzy cosmetics to the icons. On the downside, still sub optimum gps device auto-selection.
The install was not painful using SD card.
