B & G Network Instruments

I have B & G Network instruments on my sailboat and I require a new paddle wheel for the speedo. The part number is 202-00-129. My regular supplier (Wheelhouse) can't help me and I am having trouble connecting with B & G. Any help or suggestions appreciated.

Try these guys, they have a wide range of spare parts for old B&G stuff.

Re: B & G Network Instruments

Thanks AedanC,
I contacted AandT Instruments and they make a replacement part to fit my equipment. They are the only ones I can find anywhere but are a bit pricey. I am considering my options. Appreciate your help.

I would have recommended Myles Electronics in USA, but just looked at his website and he is currently paused for bisiness. When my Hornet4 paddle wheel died, he was of great help.

Check with Airmar. They make most of the speed and depth instruments sold under other brands. Their catalog is a wealth of information. If this is one of theirs, they can put you in touch with a retail distributor.

Re: B & G Network Instruments

Thanks guys, The Airmar part is discontinued and Myles Electronics are "paused" (whatever that means). Looks like I will be buying all new instruments and this is because of a damaged paddlewheel that is not replaceable for a reasonable price. Very disappointed with B&G.

Would the paddle wheel be printable with a 3D printer?

One of its blades is made of a magnetic material so that a sensor can count revolutions.

Re: B & G Network Instruments

If you upgrade in your situation, make sure to only buy proven nmea2000 sensors and a good converter that keeps the old displays happy.

By far the best choice is the new Airmar dst810: https://www.defender.com/product.jsp?id=7066758

This one has wireless connectivity to their app for settings, calibration etc.

For linking it all together, this is a pretty good choice: https://www.yachtd.com/products/wifi_router.html
