B&G Power Draw

I thought I would post this as it may be of interest to someone upgrading their electronics.

I'm in the middle of a refit and just received all my electronics. Since it will be a month or so before I can get them out to my boat, I decided to set them up in my lab and play around with them. Being in my controlled lab allowed me to accurately measure the power draw.

The hardware I have hooked up is
1 B&G Zeus 2 (7 inch)
2 Triton Displays
1 Wind intrument
1 depth/speed instrument
1 NMEA 2000 GPS antenna
1 Vesper Vision AIS (connected to WIFI)

So for anyone interested, here are the numbers.
Full brightness = 22.91w (12.90v @ 1.776A)
Low brightness = 12.64w (12.90v @ 0.980A)
Standby = 8.76w (12.90v @ 0.679A)

Low brightness is more than enough for night sailing. In fact, I found them still a little too bright, especially the Vesper Vision.

I would love to see the data for competing products. It would be interesting to see how they stack up.
