B&G V60: Europe to USA

Colleagues, has any V60 user crossed the pond to find that their B&G V60 doesn't support the US frequencies, even though the same radio is sold in the USA?

It would seem to me that I should be able to change the country code to enable me to pick up (say) channel 22a to listen to coast guard information. I cvan't find this in the user manual. Has anyone successfully achieved this or am I faced with buying another VHF?

Further to my earlier post, I have now found the solution. I summoned up courage to press the dreaded 'Reset':

Menu>Reset>Region/Country>USA/Can>US_(DSC)

Voila!

I now have the US channel range and modes. Note that the B&G V60 uses the updated ITU four-digit channel numbering, so read the two-digit channels (e.g.16) as 0016. If you then want.one of the suffix channels (which are still widely named as such, including by the USCG), e.g. 21a, the radio shows this as 1021, so scroll up past channel 88 (0088) to get to the a-suffix . The US is not using the b-suffix channels.
