B&G Zeus Touch T12 updates not working

Hello, I have a Zeus Touch T12 multi graph chart plotter. From the B&G website I downloaded updates for the plotter, and updates for the 3G radar onto a micro SD card and the downloads do not open, and are not even recognized when the card is slotted in, whether before or after powering the unit up.

any thoughts, advice is most appreciated.

There haven't been any new updates for the T12 in years... The last one was required to make the GPS count the date correctly.

Without seeing exactly how you put the update file on the card, it is impossible to answer. Can you upload the root directory of the card you are using for updating?

I wonder if the problem is because I am downloading from the b&g website onto my MacBook Air? maybe I need to be using another laptop that isn't apple

Apple works fine, but it if you used an Apple to format the card you might have selected an inappropriate format. I would bet this is true if the MFD does not even know the card is there.

Go back, reformat the card and try again.

From the B&G site, it looks like the last firmware update for the Zeus Touch was:

Zeus Touch Software Update
Release Date: 10 April 2019

Version: 2.0-46.1.139

If your Touch is already upgraded to that version, it may ignore the same upgrade version on the SD card- yielding the results you describe [nothing happening...] If your Touch has a prior version of software, then you may need to reformat the SD card you are using to FAT32 [you can do this on your Mac... we do too...] and then copy the upgrade file to it again- as mentioned by Harmonie, above.

We have B&G Zeus MFDs also [we had Touch MFDs originally, but now have Zeus 2] and are used to running on deprecated software. It still works and performs as expected.
