B&G ZG100 GPS clever damping problem

Cheers,

Anyone from Navico / B&G around?

I happened on a problem with the 'clever damping'.

When the boat starts moving, it can take a long time for the ZG100 to catch up, and during the catch-up phase, the position error vs (assumed) real position is huge.

I wrote it all down in this blog post and it would be good to hear from someone with more insight into the software and the damping method!
