Battery monitor VSM422 Blue sea system

Hi, my battery Soc does not got to 100 %. It stays at 35 and there's no way to force it to 100 in the user's manual.

Is there a tip to do it?

Only by resetting the whole unit and going through the setup again. (page 89)

First, as a previous owner of the 422, get a Victron. You will not get the 422 to work perfectly. Maybe close, but you will not get it working 100% right.

When you say it stays at 35, does that mean ALWAYS? Never higher and never lower? If that is the case, you have an installation problem with the shunt.

It should reset to 100% when the battery is full, determined by preset settings when you set the battery type on page 47-50. It only gives a couple battery types and does not allow modifying the full charge voltage or time, or the peukert factor. So it will never work as well as a properly setup Victron. If you have LFP, it will be hopelessly wrong, always.

What type of batteries do you have, and what capacity?

Re: Battery monitor VSM422 Blue sea system

Many thanks for the answer. Yes I obviously wanted to do the factory but didn't find the time to do it.

Yes the instantaneous Amp are well count but the calculations are not done behind
And to change the voltage for 100% does not do anything.

Ok I soon I come back to the boat, I will reset it.
