Best 2020 navigation iPad

Dear all:

Assuming an apple ipad, what would you all recommend for 2021 purchase for nav support for onboard garmin 7610 series mfd chartplotter? I know it has to be wi fi + cellular to work offshore but beyond that what detailed recommendations on most recent iPad generations? All a bit bewildering even after review of literature... .

Don't know if you've already sprung for your iPad: I think buy the best you can afford (most RAM you can), and it wifi only is fine, just buy a bluetooth GPS (Bad Elf) and you're golden.

Second the Bad Elf. I have Navionics with lots of storage.
