Bullet 2hp

Where can I buy a POE that connects to 12 volt system and will work on an ubiquity bullet ? I have the system up and running using 110 volt. Also would like to get a router than runs off of 12 volt system.

Re: Bullet 2hp

You might look at the POE you have, and see it converts the 110 to a lesser voltage, It might even be 12 volt and you can simply rewire the one you have. Or wire in a DC to DC converter found at any electronics store and run your POE off of that. Good Luck, Chuck

Re: Bullet 2hp

I cut the wall warts off both my Netgear router and the POE injector power supplies, and wired them directly into boat voltage about a year ago, both wall warts were 12V output. No issues so far. The POE injector is the one that came with my Nanostation.

I have contacted Islandtime about purchasing just the POE and have not heard back, I think they sell the kits only . The POE that came with the Bullet uses an AC cord so short of opening it and trying to figure it out , I would just buy a Poe that has 12v input and 12 volt output as they are reasonably cheap.

Re: Bullet 2hp

Somewhere on this board (Long distance wifi device?) I posted a link where I got mine online for $3.49. It's a simple 2 socket ethernets one coaxial 12 volt input block.
Sorry but I don't have time now to find the post.
