Connect Axiom plotter to smart TV

I would like to connect my Axiom plotter with the TV in the saloon. TV will only be a repeater (view only). Although I have successfully connected the plotter using Rayview and Raycontrol apps with my ipad/iphone, on the TV, which is an android smart TV, I cannot find the Rayview app.
Not sure if this app is available on android. Besides this, is there any other way to connect? I am reading something about having a wireless wifi dongle installed on TV that will connect with the plotter. Anybody tried this? Which exact dongle will work? Any suggestions? Thanks

does the axiom have video output plug? generally only the bigger plotters do. and the smaller ones only have video input

I don't think you're going to find any way to connect via wifi or apps.

I just installed an Axiom Pro 12 at the helm on my sailboat and mirrored the Axiom screen on a smart TV in the saloon. If you have an android phone, you can use Smart View (comes with android os) to mirror the Rayview app from the phone/tablet to the TV.

You are saying that smartview app is to mirror rayview from phone/tablet to tv. So does this mean that you cannot connect directly the Axiom plotter to the tv?

You can connect your Axiom wirelessly to your TV. I have done it and its in the manual.

Your TV either needs to support Miracast or you buy the Microsoft Miracast dongle - which is what Raymarine used in testing and seems to work the best.

Plug that into your TC, and go into display config on the axiom and pair them. Away you go.

Rayremote / Raycontrol is for pairing to smartphone, not TV.

Have not tried it but I suppose you could use the Apple TV box to mirror an iPhone or iPad running the Raymarine Apps.
