Connect Simrad Autopilot to Garmin Chartplotter

I have used garmin auto guidance on some other pilots. but I have seen it not work sometimes too. you need to make sure the route is all purple. with no bad spots (shallow sections etc) otherwise no pilot will start it even a garmin. try away from the dock. often there are nav errors when starting from a dock.

You are far better off letting your AP steer a compass course than trying to connect it to your chartplotter. Be happy with what you have, and avoid GPS assisted collisions.

Just imagine what will happen if everyone uses the zero XTE autopilot/chartplotter interface and the same waypoint guide at the same time. Everyone on the water will be with 5 ft of rhumbline between the same waypoints.
