Connecting Feed Line to a Wire Antenna

Any smart idea about a smart connector for the feed-line (from a tuner) to a sort of rope-antenna?

can I adapt one PL-259 to the job? Having a crew nut the PL-259 will make for a nice and robust fit but I'll lose the possibility of attaching the feed line to the toerail or lifelines or back stay just for receiving when the rope-antenna is folded away.

Any suggestion is more than welcomed

Merry Christmas to all fellow sailors
