Depth, speed, temp transducer install

I am clueless about these things. I own a 43’ HC43T. Installing a new transducer. Looking at the Airmar DST810. Installing amidships on starboard side of hull where there is the least amount of angle. Do I need to worry about the fact that it isn’t pointed straight down? Where can I find one of those Bronze through hills to install so I can simply screw the transducer into it?

Thanks

Phil

It'll still work, just choose the flatest place you've got.

Here's a bronze one designed for a 12 degree tiilt. Hamilton Marine also sells one for a 20 degree tilt.

DST810 as standard comes with plastic try hull. Fine for me. , bronze is optionally available. Typically put it as far forward as you can , mine is 8 feet back from the stem , on a 36 footer , the canoe body on modern yachts is quite flat just in front of the keel.

Then drill a hole in a perfectly good boat
