Diagnosis help needed - depth reporting

I’m hoping the forum can give me some ideas on how to troubleshoot intermittent depth reporting. I have a Raymarine e95 MFD, an Airmar DST800 transducer, and Raymarine i70 instrument displays. The boat has SeaTalk ng networking. All has been working fine, but in the last day or so, the depth reporting on the i70s displays the depth value briefly then goes blank, then shows the depth, in a repeating sequence of value, blank, value. The change rate is about 1 to 2 seconds. Interestingly, the depth value is displayed on the MFD without the blanking sequence. All other data on the i70 (SOG, wind data) display with no issues. Any thoughts on what’s up would be appreciated.

Just to close this out, the problem was with the transducer itself. It was nine years old and had seen better depths. A new Airmar put everything back in order.
