This is more of what I had in mind for a RF Choke. Ferrites work, sort of, but coax wrapped in a coil works better. You can still keep a length of coax to use as you counterpoise if you want, but put this at the output of the radio tucked away somewhere.

Also, it was tested and determined that either 23' or 30' of antenna wire works best with all bands. However, many have said 35' works well also.

If your antenna is working on the bands you are interested in, using only the limited range tuner in your radio, you are done. With a 9:1 unun, the antenna impedance might be too low on the lower frequency bands for your internal tuner to bring the SWR down to an acceptable level. I know some have found a 4:1 unun to work well with an internal tuner over a wider range of frequencies.
