Dragon fly Depth Guage

I am looking to upgrade some of my equipment, again. I am using Raymarine equipment and will be staying with that manufacturer. I see they have sonar called dragon fly. We are in the Caribbean so it's primary use is a depth gauge. My question, is it a good addition and be used as the only depth gauge on the sailboat? Thanks

Re: Dragon fly depth guage

So I am trying to get educated. It looks like the dragonfly is a stand alone sonar, where the CP100 does the same thing but talks to the series c or e chart plotter. Will the dragonfly transmit all of the data over to the chart plotter as well so you could have the dragonfly constantly on the depth display and the series c or e displaying other information.

No, the Dragonfly is a stand alone unit and has no communications ports.
