DST200 depth finder not consistently showing depth in low water

I have a Airmar DST200 depth finder connected to a NEMA2000 network. In low water (<15 ft). The displays go blank. B&G was not help so I thought maybe someone on forum could provide some help. The device is seen by my chart plotter so NEMA connection is there.
