E120

So my E120 Raymarine died and I'm ready to go wifi on my iPad, but I want to continue using my Airmar transducer 31 554-3-01. Can I go directly from my transducer through a box ( not my E120 ) to my iPad?

Re: E120

Allow me to be more clear, the transducer installed as a thru hull came with the E120 and the male end of it fits into a ray marine box. Can I cut or reuse the male end to go to a generic wifi box that will speak to my iPad?
Some say yes, some no. How say you?

Re: E120

No, it requires a Raymarine network capable display to control the DSM
