We don't have any windows, but we spend a lot of time on deck in the open air enjoying the beauty of the ocean.

Then when that blissful peace is interrupted by an AIS alarm, and the two screens how dramatically different situations, well we begin to lose confidence in the electronics and "enjoying the beauty" becomes an intense vigilance to see what is actually going to develop.

Ah, ok, that's the Sigrid then. Using 095T / 6 kts for OP, and 213T / 9.4 kts for Sigrid, I get this arrangement:

Both the 095 and 213 are consistent with the SH display (within a handful of degrees, of course) and the 213 is also consistent with what OCPN reports (after adding 14° variation).

Changing OP's speed to anywhere from 4-12 knots doesn't expand the CPA to anywhere near 13 miles, so I'm still in the "SH has a bug" camp.

You could always take an actual look to see where that ship is. Or light it up with radar.

Radio. AIS. Put them in a blender and you got a problem. Surprised?
