FCC approval of new spectrum use may cause interference to GPS

This fight has been going on for over a decade. Ligado has had other names over the years. They own a narrow sliver of spectrum adjacent to GPS. And many scientists are concerned that their proposed usage is not as per the original allocation and thus will interfere with many GPS receivers.
