Re: Fuel Cells:Anyone have links or thoughts

Efoy is the only "consumer" fuel cell I know of.

Other sort of home made hacky sources would be...
PlugPower makes a hydrogen fuel cell and they make them for forklifts.
A couple years back I tried to buy one and they seem to only focus on fleets of forklifts at this time.

I think their cells are made by Ballard.

Ballard makes a phone cabinet hydrogen cell that I have been eyeing but have not tried to buy one.

There is a rumor that an inexpensive way of storing hydrogen in Long playing record sized metal disks is about to hit. This uses a laser to release the hydrogen from the disk.

I'm at the lofting stage but definitely researching fuel cells.

They become available on eBay but I haven't purchased one yet...

Re: Fuel Cells:Anyone have links or thoughts

Have had an efoy for years. works great. I have been in many threads on this site. ..

great for my situation - no solar but have refrigeration. more than enough to keep up with energy use.

Yes not the cheapest to run or buy. Easy to install. can be hard to get fuel. I usually buy it by the pallet to save on shipping as it is haz shipping.

don't have to worry about fumes from exhaust. no moving parts.
