Furuno RDP131

So my 1981 Morgan 41 Out Island came with a Furuno RDP131 it uses C-Map NT cards for charts the radar seams to work as well as everything else. And I believe the auto pilot is integrated into it.

Thing is I know nothing about how to use it and all its functions. I've looked for somewhere to download a manual, like on the Furuno website and goggled the inter webs for it but came up dry, anybody know where I might get one?

Now as for the cards, it uses the ones with the wire handle I have 2 one is 18-FEB-2009 Cape Cod, Long Island and Hudson River the other is
18-Feb-2009 Passamquoddy Bay to Narragnsett Bay
Nether of which will do me any good in the near future I'll be in NC and South for a while but we hope to start crusing all over in the next year or so.

My question is, Is this RDP131 worth keeping?
Is there a way to get updated charts for it? Is there a way to put new charts on the old cards or is there a repository where folks swap their cards? I see some on ebay for $50 to $100 + but I hate to start investing it them if I'm just going to wind up replacing the unit with a tablet and a chart plotter program.

What say you fine folks?

Re: Furuno RDP131

For chart update check with C-Map. For a manual download the Navnet manual.
Its old if it works use it keep your paper charts up to date and reference them as opposed to the displayed charts.
