Fusion MS-RA210 drops BT

I replaced the Fusion MS-RA205 (which was a POS) with a MS-RA210. Much better!

Slight problem has developed. I pair my iPhone with the MS-RA210. Get to hear all the music on the phone, or streamed. For about a hour. Then the MS-RA210 drops BT. It keeps attempting to connect to the phone which causes the phone to begin playing the last music played, but through the phone. The phone shows BT connected, then disconnected; connected, then disconnected; etc.

The only fix I have found is to perform a factory reset. Not too onerous, but I must reenter the preset radio stations.

Anyone else seen this? Got a fix?

I will contact Fusion, but not much hope for help from them. When the MS-RA205 acted up I did contact them. The reply (which made it clear my input was not read by a human) was to send them the stereo with the original receipt and they would decide whether to repair or replace it; that is, if they determined it was a manufacturing problem. As the stereo was original with the boat, I did not have a receipt.

This is happening all the time with my RA205 connected through USB. (No Bluetooth.) It's connected, displays the song title, but no sound comes through. Actually it's only connected intermittently.

I had about decided it must be a cable issue but haven't got around to opening up panels and testing.

One thing they always say is that both the stereo and the iphone should have the latest software update installed. IDK if that ever makes any difference.

There was a Fusion update for the stereo, posted a couple of months ago. I installed it and no more problems. All good!
