Garmin 4212 chartplotter issue

My Garmin 4212 chartplotter losses satelite and remote signal when ridding on a little choppy seas. As soon as the boat starts hitting some waves, the unit goes with it. It works fine if the water is smooth. Please help.....

Could be the nmea connections are not secure. I had an issue with the connections in my engine room which got very warm. Connectors were above the engine. Relocated and no issue.

Where is your antenna?
Under your seat or where somebody lays their arm?

I have a 5208 with the antenna slightly off center under a windshield and the boom.
It has no problem.
I've done a test on the screen where I can see the satellite reception, and if I put my hand over the antenna, most of the satellites disappear.
Taking my hand off, they reappear in a few seconds.

My antenna is on the T-Top of the boat.

You need to inspect and tighten every connection between your antenna and the unit.
