Garmin GNX 20 not receiving transducer data

In April I replaced all my 10+ year old Raymarine equipment 1:1 for Garmin equipment. It went shockingly well. Literally everything worked out of the box. In 30+ years of dealing with electronics it was the most plug-and-play experience I've ever had, and I was bracing for a more typical marine equipment headache. We celebrated with copious amounts of sushi.

Recently the GNX 20 which came bundled in the "GNX™ Wired Sail Pack 52" began intermittently not displaying the depth, and then intermittently not displaying sea temperature. Now it seems to not display either at any time. It display all other data from the NMEA2000 devices on the network including COG, SOG, TWS, AWS, etc etc, without failure.

My 8616xsv and GMI 20 display depth and water temp values without failure.

I'm perplexed as to why this one display, GNX 20, is not displaying (receiving?) the depth and temp information, but is able to receive everything else.

The only recent change to the NMEA network was adding two YDEG-04 for engine monitoring, but the GNX 20 started acting up before I installed those.

Where do I start with troubleshooting?

what depth transduces do you have? a nema 2000 one only? or do you have a transducer plugged into the 8600? or both?

there is likly a source selection option on the gnx to pick a transducer

it's possable the 8600 is using it's own transducer and the gnx is showing the nmea 2000 transducer, and that one is having issues

I have one Airmar DST 810 which was included in the "GNX™ Wired Sail Pack 52" with the GNX 20.

At first I thought maybe the 8600 was displaying depth as read from the chart, but the depth is also being displayed on the other GMI 20 (full color full feature small display) even when the chart plotter is off.

When I first installed the Airmar DST 810 I was able to connect to its bluetooth or wireless signal (can't remember) with the mobile app. I'm going to figure out what's wrong with that today and hopefully find a full reset or somesuch along the way.

BAH! Apparently my time frame was wrong. I unplugged the YDEG-04s and water data starts showing up on the GNX 20 again. I really don't want to have to replace it with a GMI 20, even with my dealer rate that's still nearly $500 shipped
