Garmin inreach mini vs mini 2

Hi everyone,

I've decided to buy a Garmin inreach mini but still not sure whether to get the new mini 2 or the original one. Both seem to be able to send SMS messages directly from the device, which is important to me, and although the mini 2 apparently has a longer battery life and improved UI, I don't think there's any really important new features that would justify the $100 price difference to me. Would anybody recommend the 2 for some other reason?

I’ve got the original mini, and the battery lasts for days even on the most frequent tracking option. Looking at the version 2, I’m not seeing much significant difference beyond the name.
