Thanks for all the info guys. I'm soaking it in though I'm still undecided on where to mount it. The stern pole seems the simplest but I think they look much better on the mast. I might "temp" it on the stern rail for a week or two and see how I like it.

Yeah, and people working on the BMEWS line used to warm up by standing off to one side of the antennas, too.

I used to feel quite nauseous whenever the radar was started up behind me when I was spotting tuna. Keep the radar clear of people
