Re: HAM License instead of Restricted Radio Operators License?

For the hame license...DO NOT MEMORIZE THE ANSWERS, nice if you can do it but just be familiar with the answers...remember the tests are multiple question , one is stupic, another is ok, but only one is the right answer which if your are familiar with the answers y ou recognize.

And..you can miss 17 questions and still get your license. So as they say, dont worry, just get familiar with the answers. I am sure your yacht club, radio club or neighboorhood, there is a ham you can ask for help.

If I were younter (85) and still cruising in your area, I would be glad to help you prepare for the test, but I just got too darned old too soon. and every time I look in the mirror, some old lady jumps in front of me, there just is no justice anymore......7y3's and good Or as we XYLs and Yls sign to each other 33's ( If you are yound and good looking, what the heck 88's) de W7KFI

Re: HAM License instead of Restricted Radio Operators License?

three guys were good buds, drank, hung out to gether, etc, real buddies.
One says, you know we have never been in the desert...the other two agree. so lets go desert camping.

While packing one says I'll take extra water, never can tell....good idea, the 2nd guy says I'll take extra foo, who knows how many rabbits are out there. The third guy (obviously a power boat tyupe) says, I'll take a car door.

CAR DOOR exclaim the other two...yep he says, if it gets too how we can roll down the window.

Sorry but it is a clean joke. de W7KFI

For land operations that is correct and for a FEW that is true for /MM

From your vessel in international waters the key is the proper licensure from your flag nation, same for your marine radios.

The Novice license hasn’t been issued for decades. Also, no ham license requires Morse code proficiency anymore.

As an Extra, you should presumably know this.
